DOTA is an amazing game and has an amazing community! I cannot imagine my life without it. Now, you would probably argue that if you are good you will be noticed anyway which is true, but what about those players who understood, loved and played the game well, but their MMR dictated what tag they were given and hence they eventually quit. For example, Game 1: Player Performance — Great Now, this could go in any number of ways depending on individual performance, teammates, enemies, server connection, etc.
You could perform outstandingly but still lose cause maybe somebody lost connection or maybe someone fed in your team. On the flip side, you could perform terribly and yet win cause of the same reasons on the enemy team. We tend to ignore this because we enjoy the flip side more! We get frustrated when we play well and still lose, BUT we never complain when we win even though we perform miserably in certain games.

Dota 2 ranked matchmaking not working
Players are finding plenty of new ways to guarantee they receive free BP from their TI10 Battle Pass, and Valve isn’t especially keen on that. Another option for free BP that is theoretically separate from guilds is the wagering system. Players can wager up to tokens on winning a game, with teammates having the abilty to throw in multipliers that can open up the possibility to earn multiple levels in a single win. But what about combining the two?
Dota 2 has been dealing with matchmaking issues for a long time, but Valve has been taking more steps over the last year to try and improve it by making sure players are playing the game the right way and not abusing the system. But unlike the previous ban, this acts as a game ban, not just a ranked matchmaking ban. We have banned over 40, accounts for players who were found abusing matchmaking.
These bans will now appear as game bans in Steam as well as being matchmaking bans in Dota 2. This most recent ban wave adds to several others that have come through over the last six months, with players who have extremely bad behavior scores or those caught using exploits being removed from ranked matchmaking and sometimes just being unable to play Dota. Here are the three core reasons Valve listed for banning players when the first year ban wave happened last September.
But now, it looks like the devs have a good system in place for that portion of the rules and are moving on to ToS and exploit management.
